Tastings at grand cru:

In addition to our regular wine by the glass program, we frequently feature special tastings where you can meet the estate owner, winemaker or agent of a winery or brewery we are most fond of. Our tasting fee is $15, which is credited toward the purchase of any items from the tasting.

Wednesday, February 11th, 5-7pm: Meet Hugh Sisson,     owner of Clipper City Brewery. We'll have a cask of     their Holy Sheet Ale specially flavored for us with     coriander and lemon!

Wednesday, February 25th, 6-8pm: Celebrate the 350th anniversary of South Africa's first wine crush at our tasting of Mulderbosch wines. See our Winery of the Month page for more info.

Events:

Friday, February 6th, 7-11pm: Join us at Baltimore Magazine's Catch party at the Mosaic Lounge. Proceeds benefit the Casey Cares Foundation. For more information click here.

Wine classes at Roland Park Country School: Three Wednesdays in April - 4/1, 4/15, 4/29. Nelson will be teaching these classes, which include the topics "Wine Boot Camp," "Food and Wine Pairing for Beginners," and "Restaurant Wine Survival."

Featured artist:

Our featured artist this month is Sasha Draper, the winner of our first annual photo contest, co-sponsored by our friends at Techlab, the photo imaging lab across the street. Her photos were chosen from seven entries, centered around a them of food, wine and agriculture. By winning the contest, Sasha receives a month long show at Grand Cru, with Techlab providing all of her printing, matting and framing.

Congratulations Sasha! Her show will be up through February 2009.
